Donate canned food at all IMCPL locationsFrom November 24th through December 19th, there will be Gleaners Food Bank bins in every branch of the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library. IMCPL will accept your donations as part of Mayor Ballard's "Pack the Pantries!" initiative.

Priority items include:

  • Canned Meats like tuna and chicken
  • Canned Fruits and 100% Fruit Juices
  • Canned Vegetables and Tomato Products
  • Heat and Serve Meals such as soups and pasta
  • Baby Formula
  • Cereal
  • Peanut Butter and Jelly
  • Applesauce cups
  • Healthy snacks
  • Rice and Beans
  • Macaroni
To ensure food safety, some items cannot be accepted:
  • Rusty or Unlabeled Cans
  • Perishable Items
  • Homemade Items
  • Noncommercial Canned Items
  • Noncommercial Packaged Items
  • Alcoholic Beverages & Mixes
  • Open or Used Items
